Why Patrii Cloud Exists
Patrii Cloud was born from a deep conviction: to offer a sovereign, open, transparent cloud designed to meet the real needs of local businesses.
This conviction is rooted in our previous experience as co-founders of KeepSec Technologies. KeepSec was our first ambitious project in cloud technologies. We worked hard to build a high-performance, secure infrastructure tailored to Canadian small and medium-sized businesses.
But over time, differences in vision emerged. Our priority: building an independent, simple cloud where users remain in control of their data and tools — without bloat, without friction, without compromising on openness or digital sovereignty.
When this vision was no longer aligned with the decisions being made, we chose to leave. Not to turn our backs on what we had helped build, but to go further. To do better. To do things differently.
Thus Patrii Cloud was born: a Canadian platform, founded on open source, resolutely sovereign, and built from the start with the ambition to avoid any vendor lock-in.
With Patrii Cloud, we want to give control back to our customers: simple-to-understand shared or dedicated VPS; transparent networks, storage and APIs at fair prices; an infrastructure where trust is not a marketing argument, but a founding principle.
It's not just a technical offering, it's a stance: the cloud must be free, lean, and sovereign.
